In the heart of Champagne, the Domaine de la Forêt d'Orient is located in an attractive department, rich in activities linked to a very varied heritage, whether natural, cultural, historical or gastronomic. The Domaine has this very privileged particularity of being in the heart of the Forest in a protected area: The Regional Natural Park of the Orient Forest [PNRFO], surrounded by a generous nature favoring outdoor activities, often unusual and disorienting.

A few minutes from the shores of Lac d'Orient, you have easy access to its 3 main beaches Géraudot (4.2 km), Lusigny-sur-Barse (8.5 km) and Mesnil-saint-Pères (14 km) for enjoy beautiful days of lazyness and swimming.
The Domaine is also close to two other he lakes: Lake Amance and Lake Temple.

Culture lovers will not be left out, many sites, castles, museums, abbey... are available to them near the estate including: the Château de la Motte-Tilly 77 km, the Château de Vaux 29 km; the Cistercian Abbey of Clairvaux 49 km; the 16th century churches of Chaource 40 km and that of Bar-sur-Aube 39 km; the Templar Museum in Payns 35 km away; the Renoir course in Essoyes 43km and of course Troyes which reveals its museums of Fine Arts, natural history and its city of stained glass as well as its majestic cathedral. A walk in the heart of its historic center with its picturesque alleys, half-timbered houses and magnificent mansions will delight them.
As a family, the unmissable Nigloland amusement park is only 30 km from the estate.

Stroll through the village of Essoyes where the painter Renoir lived. The charm of the surroundings of Bar-sur-Aube is both local and historical.
